Tumbling

 

 
Texas Dreams Tumbling program is designed for athletes that are more interested in targeting floor and trampoline skills. This program uses state-of-the-art equipment, making us one of the most complete training centers in Texas.  We begin with Air Tracks and progress to Tumble Trak and Trampoline, then on to Rod Floors and finally onto the Spring Floor.  Foam filled pits provide a softer and more forgiiving surface for the difficult to master landings. 

The variety of progressions and apparatus help our staff deliver a more rewarding experience to any athlete that is striving for that "dream tumbling pass" without all of the frustration that usually accompanies the monotony of repeated efforts.  Skills taught include: cartwheels, round offs, power hurdle cartwheels, power hurdle round off, bridge (with kick over), back bend kick over, back walkover, walking on hands, standing back handspring with spot.

The Trampoline & Tumbling Program is an exceptional vehicle to build physical strength, muscular control, and overall body awareness.
 

Tumbling
 Tumble 1, 1 hour
Beginner level targeting floor and trampoline skills.
Instruction in cartwheels, round-offs, handstands,
backhandspring spotted, etc.

Tumble 2, 1 hour

Intermediate Level targeting the biomechanics of
setting and rotation. Instruction in front handspring,
power hurdle, handstand hold, spotted back tuck, etc.

Tumble 3, 1 hour
Advanced Level focused upon performance of
skills on the floor. Instruction in aerials, back
handspring series including back tuck, full drills etc.

Tumble 4, 1 hour
Most advanced of our tumbling classes. Beginner twisting and advanced rotation techniques. Some of the skills athletes will work on; back handspring series, layout, standing back tuck, standing back hand spring, back layout, round off back handspring attached to saltos, punch front, front handspring, etc.

Trampoline
Beginner and up, 1 hour
Focus on body shape and extensions, trampoline awareness, and head and leg positions.  As proficiency progresses, the athlete will move on to jumps, turns, twists and combinations.
